1st Volos Half Marathon, a total success!
The first Half Marathon in the city of Volos concluded successfully, with hundreds of participants from all over Greece joining the festive event on Saturday, May 23rd, 2015. 300 professional athletes were among the 400 participants running an uncompetitive 21km distance on the Volos city shore, while hundreds of citizens of all age groups joined the 3km Road Race under the motto “Running is Health”, racing for health and quality of life!
Organized to the last detail by the Sports Department of the Municipality of Volos, the Volos Health Runners Club and the Regional Unit of Magnesia, the local authorities warmly stood by the cause from day one, sports clubs from all over Greece joined the race in teams, while selected sponsors supported the event – with DIOS Natural Mineral Water being in charge of the proper hydration of all participants!
